San Diego Coast

Kyle and I headed up and over to San Diego for a little coastal fishing. As timing would have it there was a good swell coming in from somewhere pushing a ton of seaweed and some rather large waves. And we missed prime time by a couple of weeks. It's amazing how far you can shoot a heavy shooting line when you cast it just right. Big bummer for Kyle who lost a battle with some kelp snapping his rod tip. No fish were to be had, but it was good to get out of the house, put in a big chew and throw a line... view wasn't too bad either.
